Encounter Vietnam’s breathtaking natural beauty, abiding tradition, and profoundly hospitable people on this comprehensive 15-day small group journey. Get acquainted with French-accented Hanoi during a three-night stay, touring historic sites and sampling local cuisine. On a full-day Ha Long Bay excursion, explore this stunning waterscape by boat. Spending three nights in a beachfront hotel in Da Nang, tour the acclaimed Cham Museum and Hoi An’s charming Old Town, a UNESCO site. 

Enjoy a cooking lesson. In Hue, explore the vast Imperial Citadel, take a cyclo ride, and cruise on the Perfume River. Then experience river life with two nights in the storied Mekong Delta, journeying by boat to a floating market and exploring by sampan. See a farming settlement’s daily life. A three-night stay in vibrant Saigon with touring and independent exploration concludes the journey. Discover Angkor Wat’s amazing temples and Phnom Penh with an optional 5-day/3-night post-tour extension.

Below are physical expectations required to fully enjoy the journey. We, and the tour operator, are happy to discuss the physical needs of this trip to ensure the best fit. Should you reserve space, be sure to share with the tour operator physical accommodations you may need i.e. cpap machine, hearing aid for listening device, special medicine, etc.

  • Each excursion on the tour has an activity level assigned to it. Please reference the brochure for each excursion's activity level
  • Mild: Walk under 1 mile on mainly flat etrrain; navigate under 50 stairs; stand under 1 hour
  • Moderate: Walk 1-3 miles on mainly flat/uneven terrain; navigate 50-100 stairs; stand 1-2 hours
  • Active: Walk 2+ miles on flat/uneven terrain including up and down inclines; navigate 100+stairs; stand 3+ hours
