Experience the beauty, allure, and hospitality of provincial France at an easy pace and in a unique style on this 15-day small group tour. Set out from Toulouse to discover the rich history of Carcassonne and Albi with its Toulouse-Lautrec Museum. During a three-night stay in the medieval gem of Sarlat, see Lascaux IV’s cave paintings, cruise the Dordogne River, and tour cliffside Rocamadour. Saumur offers a picturesque base for a three-night Loire Valley sojourn, with visits to a winery and the impressive Chenonceau château. 

Traveling to Normandy for a three-night stay, tour the renowned Mont-St-Michel abbey. Visit Caen’s Memorial Museum and medieval Bayeux miraculously spared by wartime bombings. A poignant day’s touring includes Normandy’s D-Day Landing Beaches and the American Cemetery. Walk through Monet’s famed Giverny gardens, then get acquainted with enchanting Paris during a two-night stay. Savor more time in the “City of Light” with an optional 3-day/2-night post-tour extension.

Below are physical expectations required to fully enjoy the journey. We, and the tour operator, are happy to discuss the physical needs of this trip to ensure the best fit. Should you reserve space, be sure to share with the tour operator physical accommodations you may need i.e. cpap machine, hearing aid for listening device, special medicine, etc.

  • Each excursion on the tour has an activity level assigned to it. Please reference the brochure for each excursion's activity level
  • Mild: Walk under 1 mile on mainly flat etrrain; navigate under 50 stairs; stand under 1 hour
  • Moderate: Walk 1-3 miles on mainly flat/uneven terrain; navigate 50-100 stairs; stand 1-2 hours
  • Active: Walk 2+ miles on flat/uneven terrain including up and down inclines; navigate 100+stairs; stand 3+ hours
