One of North America’s great unspoiled wildernesses, the Canadian Rockies richly reward outdoor-loving travelers, as this 11-day small group adventure reveals. Setting out from Calgary, embark on a nature-focused itinerary along which you encounter some truly stunning sights. In majestic Glacier National Park, ride a legendary Red Jammer sightseeing bus along the fabled Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Stay in Whitefish, Montana, an authentic mountain town, and take a guided tour of Conrad Mansion. After savoring more striking scenery en route to world-famous Banff National Park, highlights here include visits to photogenic Lake Louise and the Columbia Icefields, and traversing Athabasca Glacier in a special vehicle. Jasper National Park follows, with dramatic Maligne Canyon and a cruise on cerulean Maligne Lake. An exhilarating cliff-edge Glacier Skywalk expedition affords spectacular views. On the final full day, ride the Banff Gondola to Sulphur Mountain’s peak and see two more natural wonders: the Hoodoos and Bow Falls.
