This exceptional 8-night tour sails in the path of totality, a unique way to witness a rare celestial event. After touching down in Iceland, explore mountain-flanked Reykjavík, including visits to the National Museum and the gorgeous Hallgrímskirkja Church. Stay for one night at the Parliament Hotel, then embark on a 7-night, round-trip cruise aboard the deluxe World Voyager, crossing the Denmark Strait to Greenland. Here, encounter vast and remarkable landscapes, visit a tiny outpost and witness the dramatic fjord system of Scoresby Sound. Sail back to Iceland to experience the solar eclipse’s totality.
As the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, your surroundings will be bathed in ethereal twilight. Next, be immersed in Icelandic wonders: Vigur Island, stunning Isafjordur and the magical Snaefellsnes Peninsula, home to hauntingly beautiful windswept beaches. While the solar eclipse is the showcase of this program, you will also savor ethereal waterways, delicious fare and postcard-worthy landscapes.
